The 2020 Academy Awards are set to broadcast with no host for the second year in a row, Deadline has shared after ABC Entertainment President Karey Burke announcement during her executive session at TCA.

“With the Academy, we’ve determined there will be no traditional host, replicating for us what worked last year. [It will have] huge entertainment values, large musical numbers, comedy, and star power,” said Burke.

The 2019 Academy Awards went host-less after Kevin Hart’s withdrawal as a result of controversial tweets produced by the comedian and actor. The move proved successful for the broadcast, which was filled with big-star presenters, large moments — such as a Queen medley and Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s performance of”Shallow” — and the vital inclusion of Tina Fey and Amy Poehler in keeping the event running smoothly and with plenty of entertainment in between the award announcements.

The 2019 award show had a 12% increase in viewers as well as 13 percent in the adults 18-49 demo over the 2018 Oscars and was also shorter than its previous year by about thirty minutes.

Burke previously said they were”extremely proud” of how well the 2019 Oscars turned out and hinted that the 2020 Oscars would also go host-less after saying that they were”not messing with that arrangement” to the”best of our abilities.”

The Academy Awards will take place at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on ABC on February 9.

  1. This has to be the most faithful adaptation to the adams family to date, i saw it this week and everyone in the theater was joining in on the snaps durring the film. Each plot beat of the movie is punctuated with the theme and the off-brand humor is on point.

  2. I love how there was a "IT" reference in the trailer knowing that Finn Wolfhard played Richie🤣🤣

Also if u look at the cast it says that snoop dogg plays as it and I’m seeing the movie with my friend tomorrow to see how this movie is #EXCITED😁😁😁

  3. I’m sorry, but it was really bad. The script, the weird jokes, and it wasn’t like the original Addams Family. I liked the animation, but I didn’t really like that Gomez was fat. That’s just my opinion.

  4. This animation supposed to be 1 euro only or free tf they ruin a legendary show the only reason why its horror it because of the design of the characters

  5. As a fan of the Addams Family, I am disappointed with this. The character designs and models are good, but everything else seems really lame. The new tune bugs me the most. The original tune was perfect, why change the notes? And the bit at the start about an "average American family" was totally bizarre – some of those "families" didn’t even have parents so in what way is that "average"!? This definitely does not look like the kind of film I would like.

  6. I think these kinds of movies are made just to piss people off enough to stop living in nostalgia and ACTUALLY grow up.

  7. Wednesday: "I wish something would lighten up this already tideous day-"

    Groot: *yeets Pugsly*

    Wednesday: "Thanks for trying, Groot."

(P.S: Idk how to spell the trees name so I just call it Groot XD)
