  1. If you have ever thought "I could be a teacher, it’s easy," think again.

First, learn enough brain science to understand what kids are *able* to learn at each stage of development. As modified by those who have developmental issues; maybe genetic or their parents drank, drugged, ate poorly, had medical problems, etc. during pregnancy.

Deal with 20..30 kids, not two.

Of those, some haven’t had enough sleep and a decent breakfast.

    Some have an abuse background.

Some have untreated ADHD (perhaps the parents don’t believe in it, though in 1999 Harvard Medical School published a study explaining one of the mechanisms) or other learning difficulties.

Some get taken out of class for a week of vacation, "can you send the lesson material". Good luck with them catching up.

Some have been taught that the Earth was created some thousands of years ago by (a) supernatural being(s).

Work within the unfunded mandates the various government authorities have passed (based on the outcomes of political fights, seldom based on a background in education).

Spend your evenings and weekends grading papers and developing lesson plans.

Instill knowledge and a love of learning in all of them.

  2. I ttyl knew once he said oxy the next word would be contin or cotton or whatever it is. I of all ppl should know. Just kidding or am i. No really I’m kidding. Maybe. K Byeeeeee

  3. Hi, guys, I don’t get the last joke (I’m a non-native English speaker). He says: “ Starts with the P, ends with… “ what? What should be the answer and what did kids say?)
P.s. The skit literally made me double up with laughter and wipe tears off my eyes)) I love it!!

  4. I feel so bad for teachers… this really hits close to home as far as how fucking frustrating young students are. They don’t even get paid well to deal with this shit.
